Direct Light Beam! LED luminaires direct light in a cone shape to the surface minimizing the amount of secondary light that contributes to light pollution. PanaScope LED Luminaires uses Inside Reflector Prism and High Ratio Lens that is Toughened Glass and offers Beam Angles of 15°. 20°, 30°.
Protection From Overheating! LED Luminaires use Circuit On Board (COB) modules to control and power the Light Emitting Diodes (LED). These COB's do heat up during operation, to estimated temperatures greater than 170°C, resulting in possible permanent damage to the light unit and may cause burns or fire. To keep the LED's cool during operation a method of dissipating the heat is required by using a fan or heatsink. Some LED Luminaire manufacturers use a method of turning off the LED when it reaches a certain temperature to allow for a cool down of the COB. PanaScope LED Luminaires uses a Uni-Body Heatsink that provides a benefit of continuous operation and cool surface within operating temperatures of -40°C~55°C.
Color Temperature! A characteristic of visible light that emits from a light source and is expressed in Kelvin (K). Daylight would fit in the range of 5500K~6500K. As looking directly into the Sun can be harmful to a persons eye and physical health, looking directly into a light source may have the same effect, depending on the Color Temperature emitted from the light source. A light source that emits more than 6000K contains a significant amount of blue light that can be harmful to the eye retna. On the other side of the light spectrum of 5500K or less has shown to emit more yellow and orange which is much more comfortable to the eyes and human health.
PanaScope LED Luminaires offer two choices in Color Temperature:
* 5500K - A normal white lamp that is used where detail of the lighted surface is required;
* 3000K - A warm white filtered lamp that is very easy on the eyes and used where fog conditions are present.
Energy Efficiency! LED Luminaires are considered more energy efficient then other light sources such as incandesent, CFL, HID, Sodium Vapor, etc. This is due to the design and function of LED in that it takes less Watts to light a specific area. Depending on which lighting source LED is compared to, the reduction can amount up to 90%.
Alternative Power Sources! Since the LED's use DC current to actually power the LED modules, the Luminaires can be operated with Battery power sources. This allows for use of alternate power sources, such as, Solar, Wind, and Geothermal.
PanaScope LED Luminaires offer DC drivers to power their LED products that use customer provided 24V Batteries.
